Monday....week 5 off work begins

Thank goodness for the peace when hubby and son have left for work and school!

This weekend has been an emotional one. With yet another attack on the UK on Saturday night followed by the amazing concert showing defiance in the face of these monsters who try to destroy our lives....many tears have been shed.

My own pain levels were high which led to a very low point on Saturday.Nothing I turned to distracted me from either my pain or my low mood.....this in turn made them both worse.

Evidence of craft therapy......

Over the last 4 weeks I have been knitting a blanket for one of my work friends who will be getting another grandchild later in the year. I had nearly finished it when my hand started to cramp up each time I did more than 1 row, so finishing it off is taking almost as long as knitting the main part. I just have one edge to knit then it is just the tidying up to be done....determined to finish it this week! Until the hand pain started I found that this did distract me from my back, as long as after every couple of rows I got up and moved around!

Last year we brought some Lily plants from Morrisons and was very impressed when I saw them coming out again this year. On Saturday, our first flower started opening bringing some colour into our garden! And today we need it....it is grey and wet here this morning!
